Tanya Lanette (Farley) Jones

Tanya Lanette Jones (Farley), a beloved child of God passed away in Longview, Texas on April 11, 2025, leaving a void her family cannot fill. She was born in Jefferson, Texas in 1964 to the late Robert Lee Farley and Betty Williams.

Tanya attended Longview Independent School District and was a member of the class of 1983. She completed her studies in Psychology at Jarvis Christian College in Hawkins, Texas and pledged Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. Tanya used her studies to be an inspiring leader as a caregiver for D&S Services in Longview, Texas for many years, until her health failed her.

Tanya was a devoted mother to two handsome young men: Jaylon and JaCorian Jones, her pride and joy. She always said their birth changed her life for the better, and they felt that in the love  and support she provided.

Tanya took special joy in her devotion to God. She became of member of the Parkview Baptist Church where she carried many torches of serving in many organizations. She was a devoted  member of the choir where she served as the secretary and was gifted as a strong tenorette. Tanya continued her service to God by serving on the usher board, the youth department, and the   mission team. Tanya was a servant after God’s own heart.

Preceding her in death are her father: Robert Lee Farley; grandparents: Johnnie Williams Sr. and Queen Victoria Williams; uncles: Louis Williams, Ernest Farley, Joe Farley Jr., Robert Farley, and Henry Farley; aunts: Rosetta Farley, Gloria Farley, Charlie Marbel Noble, Dorothy Williams, Bennie Lowe, and Olar Weeks; and, her best friend: Gwendolyn Joyce Miller.

Tanya is survived by two sons: Jaylon and JaCorian; mother and stepfather: Betty and Glen Nobles; grandson: Dahvidrick; uncles: Johnnie Williams Jr., Thomas Williams, George Williams, Mose Farley (Clara) and Matthew Farley;  aunts: Ella Jane Bullard, Elma Alexander (Sammie), Mary Ann Brooks, and Brenda Farley; family of love: Thomas and Clara Flowers and daughters: brother of love: Kyran Ransom (Tanya); sisters of love: Vaunita Ransom, Pamela Buchanan, Peggy Jordan and Petrice James; children of love; Brandon Steverson, Shenequa Brown and Brittany  Richardson; and, many nieces, nephews, cousins, sorority sisters and friends who will never forget the love she brought to their lives.
