Timothy Irvin Snoddy, affectionately known as “Timbo”, was born June 9, 1960, in Longview, Texas. He passed away on September 21, 2025.
Timbo loved sports and was a dedicated Lobo fan. He was a coach and a volunteer for the Longview Football League for over 20 years. Timbo coached the Mustangs and the Hawks. Timbo’s favorite pastime was playing dominoes with his friends.
Timbo was raised in Longview and was in the Longview High School Class of 1979, where he participated in track and football. He was employed at Resistol Hat Factory for several years and later worked for Longview ISD. Timbo was a proud father and a devoted provider. He spent the last of his years, despite the hardships, demonstrating unwavering commitment, sacrifice and a tireless work ethic.
Timbo was preceded in death by his mother: Ruth Snoddy and father: Finis Snoddy.
He leaves to cherish his memory companion: Patricia Johnson; son: Roderick Sheffield; two sisters and six brothers: Tee Carol Snoddy, Daphne Williams, Rickie Williams, Melson Snoddy (Nona), Finis Snoddy, Selwyn Snoddy, Thomas Snoddy and, Michael Harden; and, a host of nieces, nephews and stepchildren.
Timbo was a loyal friend to many and brought joy wherever he went.
