Tommy L. Finch was born to the parentage of Levester and Mary Finch. He was born the fourth child of ten children. Tommy accepted Christ at an early age an oftenâattended Sherman Chapel Baptist Church of Longview, Texas. He received his education at Pleasant Hill School Longview, TX.
Later he worked at Stemco of Longview as a Supervisor where he retired and then dedicated many years to Trinity Industries #19 where he also retired. He then picked up a side job because he was bored, which was at LISD transportation. He worked as a bus monitor until he decided to completely retire and move to Fort Worth, Texas with his Son in law and daughter, where he resided until his death.
Early in life he enjoyed fishing and softball, but later he became to enjoy watching his television shows such as Cheaters, Westerns, and JUDGE JOE BROWN. Not to mention, he enjoyed sitting around keeping everyone laughing with hissinging, dancing, along with his wild stories.
Tommy was preceded in death by his parents Levester and Mary Finch;siblings Robert, Alton, and Willie Pearl Finch; his granddaughter Raffinee Nelson and (stepâgranddaughter) Raesha Nelson.
He leaves many memoriesto be cherish by his daughters, Rose Nelson (Lorray), Reosha Johnson (Larry), Winona Harry; his brother, Richard Finch and sisters, Nora, Martha, Helen, Andora, and Georgia; his grandchildren, D’Carryeon (The One) Finch, Dimenya Booker, JQuarious Venters, D’Keelan Stanford, Mechelle Nelson and Keke Harry; 10 great grandchildren and one great granddaughter Jai’Lynn Finch that he didn’t get the pleasure of meeting; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
