Tyree Daniels

TYREE DANIELS was born August 4, 1919 in Longview, TX to the parentage of the late Martin Daniels and Estella Davis Thurmond.  He received his education from Gregg County Training in Longview, TX.  Tyree was baptized at an early age and attended Pleasant Green Baptist Church. He remained a faithful member there until the day he was called home.

He united in matrimony to Jimmie Lee Blanton on September 13, 1947 and to this union five children were born.

Tyree and his wife loved to travel and were very active in church and the community. His works and leadership will always be remembered and acknowledged. Tyree served our country in WWII and was honorably discharged in 1945.  He worked at Cities Service Oil Company for 30 years until he retired.

Tyree was preceded in death by his son, Bobby Daniels, seven brothers, and three sisters.

He leaves to cherish his memories a loving and devoted wife of 73 years, Jimmie Lee Daniels; four daughters, Florece (Sylvester) Thomas of Desoto, TX, Gloria Broadnax of Desoto, TX, DeLois (Alton) Thomas of Southlake, TX, and Doris Daniels of Frisco, TX; two sisters, Lettie B. Conway and Glenda Spann both of Kilgore, TX; eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren, special friends Eligah and Betty Govan, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
