Vernon Rydell Sanders

Mr. Vernon Rydell Sanders was born on July 9, 1961, in Longview, Texas, to Willie and Evelyn Sanders. The Lord called him home on Friday, July 1, 2022.

Rydell was raised in the church and accepted Christ as his Savior at an early age. He was a member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church and served as an Usher for many years. He graduated from Kilgore High School and briefly attended Kilgore Jr. College. Rydell worked in the oil and gas industry for almost 20 years, where he worked his way up to Operations Manager. Spending time with family, spoiling his grandkids, drag‐racing, and cheering at his granddaughter’s track meets is what he enjoyed most.

Rydell was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Evelyn Sanders.

He leaves to cherish his memory two children: Stacy and Bryan Sanders; sisters: Cleartis Wash, Kiyomi (Larry) King, Remonia Sanders, Yvette Crenshaw, Belinda Snoddy, Juana (Jarrod) Collins; brothers: Willie Ray, Tony, Eric, and Shun; and five grandchildren: Jenaia, Jr., Khylin, Bryclyn and Briella; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
