Walter Lee Gillaspie, 73, of Henderson, TX transitioned in Tyler, Texas on September 6, 2020.

Walter Lee is survived by his wife of 54 years, Laverne Gillaspie, children Tammie Gillaspie, Donald Gillaspie, grandson, Cayden Harris, sister, Edna Harts, and a host of nephews and nieces.  Walter Lee is preceded in death by his parents George and Glennie B Gillaspie, his brothers George Jr., John Irvin, Lige Gill (L.G.), Bervin, and sisters Maggie, Tessie B, and Joyce Nell. Visitation will be held Friday, September 11th from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Craig Funeral Home, 2001 S. Green St. Longview, TX.  His life will be celebrated in a graveside memorial service Saturday, September 12th at 11:00 A.M. at Friendship Memorial Gardens,15210 Highway 43 E. Tatum, Texas.
