Wayne Wallace Obituary

Wayne Wallace was born March 15, 1960 in Longview, Texas to the late Aubrey and Mable Wallace.


He received his education at Gilmer ISD, graduating with the Class of 1978. After graduating, he began working as a cement mason. He later pursued his life‐ long career as a truck driver, spending almost 20 years working for Pilgrim’s Pride in Pittsburg, TX. Wayne also worked as a security officer. He completed his career working for Miller Construction in Longview, TX.


In 1982, he met and married Bernice Jordan, and to this union 2 children born were born, 4 step‐children, and 18 step‐grandchildren. In 2016, he married Rochell Craig.


Wayne became a member of Union Chapel Missionary Baptist Church (UCMBC) on April 10, 2011, and was ordained as a deacon at UCMBC on May 5, 2012. In November of 2015, he helped to organize and was a member of the Morris County Male Chorus.


He is preceded in death by his parents Aubrey and Mable Wallace, a son Tieran Jeffery, three brothers Dewayne Wallace, Marcus Jackson and Charles Mitchell, four uncles and three aunts.


Wayne leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Rochell Wallace; daughters, Sharette Wallace (Jesse) of Waxahachie, TX, Talesh Freeman (Jared) of Whitehouse, TX, Josephine Craig and Searrow Lewis‐ Harris (Tim), both of Longview, TX; his son, Kel Wallace of Pittsburg, TX; brother, Lonnie Mitchell Jr. of Longview, TX; four sisters, Cynthia Nash, Ola Marie Lilly, Alma Adams, and Martha Mitchell, all of Longview, TX; 9 grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He also had a special furry friend, Prince.
