WILLIE JOHN POE aka Crow in Longview and Poe Dog in Dallas of Longview, Texas passed away Friday, December 31, 2020.

Willie was born April 17, 1945 to J. B. Brown and Margaret Poe in Longview, TX. Willie Poe was raised by his maternal grandmother and his step-father Robert Pegues Jr. He graduated from Mary C. Womack in 1964.

He was a machinist with Dresser Industries for 18 years. He was also employed at D.F.W. Airport for numerous years.

Willie Poe was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He was an avid socializer, with a direct, honest, and forward opinion. He would drop everything to help a friend in need. Not a fighter but love to love. He truly enjoyed bar-b-quing his amazing and delicious foods for family and friends. Willie Poe was an extraordinarily gifted conservationist who would love to stir laughter in the room. He loved and enjoyed fishing, playing pool, dominoes, and visits to the social clubs to relax and unwind.

Willie Poe married his beautiful wife Milllie Jenkins Poe of Clarksville, TX on October 19, 1978. Their union lasted 43 years.

Willie is preceded in death by his grandmother and parents.

He leaves to mourn: his wife, Millie Jenkins Poe (Dallas, TX); son, Kendrick Jackson (Moala) Dallas, TX; 2 granddaughters, Lauren Bianca Price (Atlanta, GA) and Alexis Paige Jackson (Dallas, TX); sisters, Regina (Ronald) Heard and Emily Pegues (Longview, TX), Jennie Nubie (San Francisco, CA); brother, Jerome V. Brown (San Francisco, CA) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and devoted friends.
