Zephinah Taylor

ZEPHINAH TAYLOR was born August 5, 1943 in Marshall, Texas to Mr. Isaac Taylor and Mrs. Essie B. Howard-Taylor. He was the twelfth child of thirteen children.

Mr.  Zephinah Taylor united in marriage to Mildred Jones and to this blessed union two children were born.

Mr. Zephinah Taylor was a member of Southeast Church of Christ, Longview, Texas. He was formerly employed by Coors of Longview prior to retirement. Zephinah was a great husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, brother-in-law, domino player, and friend.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife Mildred Taylor, parents Isaac and Essie Taylor, siblings Richard, R.C., Joe Isaac, Johnny, Exes, Hosa, Elmer, Ira, Irene, Mattie Mae and Mae Lewis.

Zephinah departed this life on Tuesday, May 31, 2022.

He leaves to cherish his memories: the love of his daughter, Shenethia Jones (Jelani Jones); son, Tommie Taylor (Angela Taylor); sister, Vallie Ree Taylor; three grandchildren, N'Namdi Jones, Omari Jones and Aminah Jones along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers and sisters in-law, and friends who will dearly miss him.
